Job summary

SMBC is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst - Threat Researcher at Associate level to independently research cyber threats, analyze TTPs, and support SOC and security engineering teams. The role emphasizes documenting evidence, visual attack pathway models, and contributing to detection, threat hunting, and remediation priorities.

You will collaborate with SOC analysts, vulnerability management, asset owners, and security testing teams to validate exposure assumptions and drive proactive defense

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat research, or threat hunting within a SOC or information security program.

Responsibilities

• Research assigned threat actors, malware, and campaigns to identify attack patterns and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) relevant to financial services.
