Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to join the Threat Systems Engineering team. You will develop high-fidelity threat models and run them within our model generation framework, supporting MDA and BMDS needs.

The role requires a degree in a STEM field, active Secret clearance, and experience with MATLAB/Python/LaTeX, as well as CAD tools. You will work on dynamic, time-critical projects and may travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Be completing or has completed a degree from an accredited institution.
• Majoring in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
• Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program within company timeline.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or LaTeX.
• Strong knowledge of ballistic missile flight characteristics.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic team.
• Familiar with CAD tools and models.

Responsibilities

• Understand Aerodynamic forces, GNC systems, and kinematics within the TSE model framework.
• Deliver threat data and documentation for Ground Test architectures.
• Develop ballistic and advanced missile threat models for various tools and frameworks.
• Apply engineering and mathematical methods to depict missile/space vehicle behavior accurately.
