GDH is seeking a senior Threat Implementation Engineer to drive deployment and lifecycle management of cybersecurity solutions. You will coordinate design, low-level engineering, and optimization across complex environments while aligning with project timelines and security requirements.
The role demands hands-on experience with enterprise threat platforms, strong networking knowledge, scripting capabilities, and a proven ability to lead multi-team initiatives in a remote work setup.
The Threat Implementation Engineer supports the deployment and lifecycle management of cybersecurity solutions within a dynamic technical environment. This senior-level role involves managing complex threat platform implementations, ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure, and optimizing cybersecurity hardware and software systems. The position requires leveraging engineering expertise to coordinate technical planning, risk mitigation, and project execution, with a focus on high-profile security initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and execute the deployment of Threat platform solutions, including design, low-level engineering, and system optimization. Support cybersecurity release and deployment activities for new security systems aligned with project timelines and business priorities. Manage lifecycle refresh initiatives by upgrading hardware and software to mitigate end-of-life risks and technological obsolescence. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Security Architecture, and Engineering teams to facilitate technology adoption, process improvements, and service delivery enhancements. Maintain accurate asset tracking, inventory records, and database updates in compliance with work effort and close-out practices. Analyze existing business and technical requirements to deliver Threat solutions tailored to organizational needs. Lead technical planning, risk mitigation, and deployment sequencing for complex threat implementation projects. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, measuring the impact of these initiatives over time. Support knowledge sharing with teams on new technologies, systems, or process adaptations. Follow all relevant security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure network integrity and protection.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with enterprise Threat solutions, preferably in large-scale or financial environments. Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing Threat platforms such as SkyHigh Secure Web Gateway, F5 SSLO, Trellix, FireEye, Blue Coat ProxySG, or similar systems. Strong understanding of DMZ networking, secure network segmentation, and Cisco routing/switching. Demonstrated ability to lead technical planning, risk mitigation, and deployment for complex security implementations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to volunteer for high-impact work, take ownership, and escalation risks proactively. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support change activities. Relevant professional security and networking certifications preferred; ISC2 (CISSP) certification highly regarded. Programming skills in sh, Perl, Python, Golang, C, or C++ are a plus, as well as administrator-level UNIX (Linux or similar) experience. Knowledge of security and networking best practices, risk management, and DevOps principles is advantageous.
B.S. degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 - $47.00 Hourly
