Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. is seeking a Thread Roll Operator to set up and operate thread rollers for headed blanks to specification. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience with Waterbury or Hartford thread rolling machines and fastener production.

You will compile dimensions, adjust tools, verify dimensions, and coordinate with engineers to troubleshoot quality issues while maintaining safe, clean equipment and a compliant production area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred.
• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.
• Five years industry experience or demonstrated capabilities.
• Experience working in the Fastener industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compiles stock dimensions, sequence of operations, and thread type from charts and specs.
• Selects and adjusts threading die, cutters, chamfering tools, feeds, cams and gears.
• Adjusts speed controls to synchronize transfer and ejection of stock.
• Loads SEMS components and ensures correct parts.
• Verifies dimensions and modifies dies as needed.
• Maintains and cleans machines, drains oil trays and keeps clean workspace.
• Assists engineers to troubleshoot and document quality issues.
