Job summary

Alltex Staffing & Personnel is seeking two Thread Roll Operators for a Houston-area client. This full-time role sets up and runs manual thread rolling machines to produce fasteners and threaded rods.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Ideal candidates have a mechanical background, experience with hand tools, and the ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Experience operating manual machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of measurements and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
• Roll thread experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual thread rolling machines to produce fasteners.
• Select tooling according to work instructions and production specifications.
• Perform die changes, machine setups, and tooling adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Read and follow production travelers, work orders, and quality procedures.
• Work closely with Supervisors and Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate inspection and operational records.
• Follow OSHA regulations, safety policies, and quality system procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Thread Roll Operator

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking two Thread Roll Operators to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating manual thread rolling machines to produce high-quality fasteners and threaded rod products. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with hand tools, and the ability to operate manual machinery in a production environment. Previous roll threading experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of manual thread rolling machines to produce quality fasteners and threaded rods.
• Select proper tooling according to work instructions and production specifications.
• Perform die changes, machine setups, and tooling adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts conform to prints, drawings, and production requirements.
• Read and follow production travelers, work orders, and quality procedures.
• Work closely with Supervisors and Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot machine, tooling, and setup issues.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate inspection and operational records.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, safety policies, and quality system procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Roll thread experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs as required.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
