Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Thread Roll Operator to perform light set ups on secondary and fabricating thread rolling equipment for external threads across fastener products. You will set up and operate machines, adjust controls, and confirm tolerances using standard inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Basic shop math with fractions and decimals.
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
• Basic knowledge of machine tools.
• Ability to interpret written shop travelers instructions.
• Capable of setting up and running parts as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend thread rolling machines per traveler specs and procedures.
• Adjust machine controls and tool settings to keep tolerances.
• Crank machines through cycles and verify timing and clearances.
• Inspect samples with gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Follow SOPs to test and log quality parts and coordinate with supervisor.
