Job summary

KT Bolt Manufacturing in Texas seeks a Roll Thread Operator to set up and run roll head threading machines, threading headed and non-headed product safely and efficiently.

You will maintain a clean, organized workspace, inspect finished parts, and work with or without supervision in a fast-paced production environment; overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 years' experience operating large machinery.

Responsibilities

• Setup and Operate roll head threading machine
• Push/pull/turn tables of steel bars as needed to thread and advance through the production process once complete
• Inspect product after threading to ensure proper functionality
• May inspect work using tape, ring gauge, or micrometer to verify dimensions
• Cleans as needed to maintain a tidy workstation
• Performs other duties as required
• Ability to maintain positive relations within all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate, present facts and provide recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
• Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with or without direct supervision as well as independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism while under pressure and in the face of adversity.
• Ability to prioritize and work accuracy under stress.

Position: Roll Thread Operator

Classification: Non-exempt

Reports to: Production Manager

Summary

Roll Thread Operator will be responsible for threading headed and non-headed product in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining a tidy work area.

Physical/Cognitive Demands

This is largely a physically active role including walking long distances (over uneven surfaces) to/within our production facility, lifting 50lbs or more, and standing for long periods. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression. This job operates in manufacturing plant setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can at times be loud; the use of hearing protection is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical work days/hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mandatory weekend and overtime hours are required on a recurring basis.
