Job summary

The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) seeks a mission‑oriented Scientific Program Manager to advance collaborative science in thoracic cancers. This full‑time, hybrid role is based in Denver and reports to the Director, Scientific Affairs.

Responsibilities include managing project lifecycles, coordinating with IASLC members and committees, and producing scholarly content for grants and publications. Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a scientific, public health, or healthcare field; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a project management or healthcare administration role.
• Scientific or medical background or knowledge in thoracic cancer or pathology.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Proficiency in using technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, virtual meeting platforms, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Work with IASLC membership to develop and implement scientific programs, research projects, and education to advance knowledge of thoracic cancers.
• Manage the entire life cycle of scientific projects including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder reporting.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Pathology and Rare Tumors Committees with PM support.
• Communicate scientific content to healthcare professionals, scientists, and patients.
• Support preparation of content for grants, proposals, websites, and publications.
• Help develop, execute, and manage budgets, contracts, and data use agreements.
• Implement organizational tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
