Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology.
• CLIA certification requirements covered.
• Certified Medical Technologist credentials preferred (ASCP/NCA/AMT).
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Experience with EHR in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform hematology, chemistry, microbiology testing in house.
• Perform urinalysis, microscopy, rapid strep screens, throat cultures as ordered.
• Prepare specimens for reference laboratory and communicate with the reference lab.
• Utilize Allscripts EHR for reporting tests and communicating with providers.
• Maintain, calibrate, and standardize laboratory instruments.
• Document quarterly quality and proficiency testing and CLIA checks.
