American Cruise Lines is seeking qualified Third Mates to join our fleet operating on inland and coastal itineraries across major U.S. waterways. You will be responsible for safe vessel operations, leadership aboard, and hands-on tasks in watchstanding, maintenance, and guest service.

Ideal candidates hold a USCG Master license with Near Coastal endorsement, TWIC, and 6–12 months of piloting experience. This full-time position offers on-board accommodations, meals, simulator-based training, and

Qualifications

• U.S. Coast Guard Master's license: minimum 100 GRT with Near Coastal endorsement.
• TWIC credential required.
• Piloting and boat handling experience on coastal and river waterways: minimum 6 months, 1 year preferred.
• Self-disciplined work habits and personal grooming.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Pre-employment drug test and ongoing random testing.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsabilités

• Ensure safety and security of passengers, crew, and vessel.
• Safe launch operations in compliance with standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of all vessel spaces.
• Stand helm, security, and gangway watches in Deckhand rotation.
• Perform vessel cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, and logistics.
• Stand piloting watches under instruction.
• Assist Engine Room Attendant with machinery maintenance.
• Support hotel and culinary teams in delivering five-star service.
• Maintain logs, reports, and administrative records.
• Maintain exemplary professional grooming and uniform appearance.
