Matchbook Learning is seeking a dedicated Third Grade Teacher at Wendell Phillips School 63 in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on delivering standards-aligned ELA and Math instruction for 3rd grade, with fidelity to provided curricula and ongoing coaching to improve outcomes for students with high needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field required.
• Valid Indiana teaching license OR enrollment in/willingness to enroll in a state-approved transition-to-teaching program.
• Strong literacy development focus and data-driven instruction.
• Growth mindset and openness to coaching and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily ELA and Math instruction with fidelity to adopted curriculum.
• Prepare students for IREAD-3 through data-driven literacy instruction and targeted intervention.
• Use regular data cycles to identify needs and adjust instruction.
• Support Multilingual Learners with SIOP-aligned strategies across content areas.
• Conduct regular student conferencing to support academic growth and relationships.
• Maintain a structured, positive classroom aligned with PBIS systems.
• Engage in coaching cycles, walkthroughs, and professional development.
• Communicate proactively with families and collaborate with school teams.
