Boyd Company is offering a Caterpillar ThinkBIG Dealer Technician Training Program in partnership with Illinois Central College. Selected candidates enroll in a two-year associate degree program with paid internships at a Boyd location, alternating classroom sessions and hands-on shop experience to develop技能 in engines, hydraulics, fuel systems and electrical systems.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a high school graduate with 2.7 GPA or higher
• Must be available for standardized pre-enrollment testing
• Must pass a company physical, drug screen, and background check
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
• Ability to operate a PC (Windows, Excel, Word)
• Must maintain high integrity and accountability standards

Aufgaben

• Performs mechanical functions under supervision to repair or rebuild components
• Operates construction machinery to move in and out of shop bays and test performance
• Reads and comprehends technical data/service manuals and writes legibly
• Learn to use test equipment and procedures to safely make repairs
• Keep work area clean and follow safety rules and procedures
• Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
