Job summary

Altorfer Cat's Think Big Program offers a paid internship where students earn an Associate in Applied Sciences while training in Caterpillar dealer service technology. The two-year curriculum rotates between Illinois Central College in East Peoria for 8 weeks and an Altorfer branch for 8 weeks.

Courses include Fundamentals of Hydraulics, Caterpillar Engine Fuel Systems, Fundamentals of Electrical Systems, Diagnostic Testing, and Undercarriage/Final Drives, with hands-on shop work and safety

Qualifications

• Self-starter with good time management and planning skills recommended.
• Team oriented with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must have or will be receiving a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Two-year curriculum with rotations between Illinois Central College in East Peoria and an Altorfer branch.
• Participate in a paid internship while earning an Associate in Applied Sciences.
