Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Temporary Academic Coordinator to lead and implement a school-wide Think City curriculum at Camp Wediko in Hillsborough, NH. This role requires coordinating with teachers, clinical staff, and outside providers to ensure academic success for youth facing social and behavioral challenges.

The coordinator will supervise Think City staff, develop lesson plans, and monitor classroom fidelity while ensuring safety and orderly administration of the program

Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in Education or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a program-wide curriculum for Think City.
• Structure and manage classrooms conducive to learning.
• Understand and address the clinical, academic, and learning needs of each student.
• Set achievable learning objectives for each classroom.
• Collaborate with program leadership and outside providers as needed.
• Assign students to classrooms based on needs.
• Oversee development of lesson plans by Teachers and Assistants.
• Provide ongoing professional development and supervision for Think City team.
• Observe classrooms to ensure fidelity of curriculums and plans.
• Order and manage necessary materials for curriculum.
• Teach and model behavioral management and de-escalation strategies.
• Respond to emergencies per agency policies and report safety concerns.
• Communicate with guardians and schools about student success.
