Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. seeks the Wediko NY LTW Internship Coordinator to manage our student internship program at a 9-12 grade transfer school, coordinating paid internships in-school and with community partners.

You will oversee onboarding, supervise interns, run training and certification courses, and collaborate with Wediko staff to place students, monitor progress, and ensure professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in Social Sciences, Public/Education Policy a plus.
• 3+ years experience providing school-based direct service or residential treatment.
• 1+ years experience with job development, staff supervision, HR, or related areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to strengths-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Recruit high-schoolers to the student internship program.
• Facilitate trainings to build skills, competency, and professionalism.
• Oversee application, interview, and onboarding processes.
• Match students with internships aligned to interests and skill level.
• Conduct site visits to monitor intern performance.
• Provide crisis counseling, mediation, and social-emotional support as needed.
