Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Tech to support ion mill, ion implant, and metal evaporation equipment in a fast-paced semiconductor fab.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze tool data, and work with engineers on equipment improvements. The role requires a two-year associate degree or equivalent military electronics training, strong mechanical/electronic skills, and the ability to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years associate technical degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering or military electronics training equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electronic skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, project management skills, and knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs with PPE.
• Willing to work nights or days on a compressed workweek schedule.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Veeco/Axcelis/Heatpulse/Evaporators/SCIA equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment.
• Improve system performance to meet process requirements and reduce tool breakdowns.
• Monitor and analyze tool data; recommend maintenance improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and execute equipment improvements.
• Clearly communicate machine status in daily pass-down meetings.
• Provide clear written updates to engineers and technicians on other shifts.
