Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX to perform preventative maintenance and complex electrical/mechanical troubleshooting on semiconductor fabrication equipment.

You will install, service, and support a diffusion tool area while working in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. The role requires an associate degree in engineering (electronics preferred), 5–7 years of relevant semiconductor experience, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in engineering; electronics preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in semiconductor environments.
• Semiconductor experience required.
• Demonstrated complex troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Train junior technicians on complex troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for multiple toolsets.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with junior technician assistance.
• Create and participate in area projects.
• Mentor apprentice technicians.
