Job summary

SkyWater Technology Foundry, Inc. in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and install semiconductor fabrication machines.

The role requires hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include dismantling and repairing equipment, using diagnostic tools, maintaining quality records, and collaborating with engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing position.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation.
• Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute on projects to improve tool function and metrics; work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layouts, blueprints, manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
• Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as needed.
• Modify equipment per engineer directions.
• Participate in maintenance or cross-functional teams (e.g., 5S+ and CIP).
• Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
• Coordinate with outside vendors as required.
• Handle chemicals and gases as part of processes.
• Maintain critical spares and consumables inventory.
