Job summary

SkyWater Technology is hiring Equipment Maintenance Technicians in Bloomington to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on semiconductor fabrication equipment in the Films department.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in a maintenance manufacturing position, and ability to work 12-hour shifts with strict safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document tasks.
• Ability to initiate and manage projects to improve tool function.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and plan maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Complete required quality documentation and records.
• Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as needed.
• Perform equipment modifications per engineer directions.
• Participate in maintenance or cross-functional teams (5S+, CIP).
• Own small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
• Coordinate with outside vendors as required.
• Handle chemicals and gas safely; maintain spares inventory.
