The Heritage Group in the United States is seeking a Senior HR Reporting Analyst to design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards across Workday and Power BI. You will translate complex HR data into actionable insights that support decision-making across THG's family of companies.
You will mentor other report writers, contribute to governance and standards, and evaluate new analytics tools including AI features to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy within HRSS.
The Heritage Group is a fourth-generation, family-owned business focused on construction and materials, environmental services and specialty chemicals. Over the last 90+ years, the Heritage portfolio has grown to include more than 50 companies that employ more than 6,000 people. What unites this diverse group of businesses and individuals is our commitment to create a safer, more enriching, and sustainable world by harnessing the power of family. The Heritage Group's HR Shared Services (HRSS) team is advancing its reporting and analytics capabilities to support the organization's continued growth. The Senior HR Reporting Analyst is the senior technical resource within HRSS for designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data outputs that inform HR and business decision‑making across THG's family of companies. Workday is the system of record and primary reporting platform today, and this role is expected to be the depth expert in Workday reporting - but the role is defined by reporting and analytics capability, not by any single tool, and works across Power BI and other platforms as THG's technology landscape evolves. This role combines advanced reporting and analytics expertise with strong business acumen and data quality discipline. The Senior HR Reporting Analyst partners closely with HRIS leadership, the Systems Architect, HR Centers of Excellence, and business stakeholders to translate reporting requests into accurate, actionable, and sustainable solutions, regardless of the underlying tool. The role also provides technical mentorship to other report writers, contributes to reporting standards and governance, and helps maintain the long‑term health of THG's reporting library and reporting tools roadmap - including evaluating and adopting new reporting and analytics technologies as needs change.

Required 3+ years hands‑on experience with Workday Report Writer, including calculated fields, composite reports, matrix reports, and dashboards. Required Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
Experience with additional reporting or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) and an interest in evaluating new reporting technologies as THG's toolset evolves.
Experience supporting HR data domains such as compensation, benefits, talent, workforce planning, and compliance reporting.
Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other report writers or analysts.
Advanced reporting and dashboard development skills across enterprise HR systems and BI platforms. (High proficiency) Advanced Workday reporting skills, including PRISM datasets, custom reports, calculated fields, composite reports, and dashboards. (High proficiency) Power BI report and dashboard development skills. (High proficiency) Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, particularly regarding Workday organization structures and population filtering. (High proficiency) Ability to consult with report requesters to understand business needs and translate them into accurate, actionable reporting outputs, regardless of tool. (High proficiency) Adaptability to learn and apply new reporting and analytics tools and new AI features as THG's technology landscape evolves. (Medium proficiency) Familiarity with HR data domains - compensation, benefits, talent, workforce planning, and compliance reporting. (Medium proficiency) Proactive approach to data quality, process adherence, and continuous improvement. (Medium proficiency) Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a team structure and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
