Job summary

Deceuninck North America, LLC in Fernley, NV is seeking a Thermoplastic Profile Extrusion Technician to keep extrusion lines running safely and to capture production data. You will monitor multiple lines, prepare quality samples, and hand off a documented process to the next operator.

As a Thermoplastic Profile Extrusion Technician, you’9ll keep extrusion lines running safely, capture accurate production data, and hand off a clean, well-documented process to the next operator.

Day in the Life

Your shift starts with PPE on and a quick safety check. You’9ll verify carts and labels, review the profile part drawings, and set up documentation so every detail is captured. Through the day, you’9ll monitor up to three lines, prepare quality samples, log conditions at 8 o’9clock, 12 o’9clock, and 4 o’9clock (timeframes may change—always follow the current standard), and update the MES system so production data stays accurate and timely. You’9ll keep the area spotless (no water or oil on floors), perform autonomous preventive maintenance, and share critical process notes with the oncoming operator at shift change.

Location, Schedule & Pay

• Location: Fernley, NV
• Full-Time Days: 7am – 7pm (2-2-3 Schedule)
• Full-Time Nights: 7pm – 7am (2-2-3 Schedule)
• Day Shift: $20.00/hour
• Night Shift: $22.00/hour

What You’9ll Tackle

• Work safely every time by following company policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Correctly identify and label carts and packaging.
• Read and interpret part prints, drawings, and schematics.
• Accurately complete documentation (e.g., P Side, Router, supplemental documents) for entry into MES; input data properly in the MES system.
• Maintain Deceuninck North America (DNA) quality standards.
• Understand and support MAC system operation.
• Continuously monitor and document assigned extrusion lines.
• Prepare required quality samples per the Profile Part Drawing (cosmetics, dimensional criteria, length, weight, gauges).
• Record process conditions at set intervals (8, 12, and 4 o’9clock) and follow current timing standards.
• Complete Line Inspection Sheets at the start and end of the shift.
• Communicate key process information to the next operator at shift handoff.
• Keep lines and surrounding areas clean and inspected throughout the shift.
• Provide break and lunch relief as assigned; assist teammates as needed.
• Perform autonomous preventive maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Ensure floors remain free of water and oil at all times.
• Operate up to three extrusion lines concurrently.
