Job summary

Genpak in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Thermoforming Operator to learn and operate all six thermoformers within defined specifications. You will read gauges, perform quality checks, document first piece inspection and production logs, and report machine malfunctions to keep production on track.

This role emphasizes safety, start-up/shut-down abilities, and accurate paperwork. You will work with supervision to resolve issues and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and operate all six thermoformers within defined specification without assistance.
• Recognize heating/cooling problems and report issues immediately.
• Read instrumentation gauges and record heat readings for each machine.
• Prepare and complete required paperwork (first piece inspection, production log) accurately.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate all six thermoformers within defined specifications.
• Recognize and report machine issues promptly to maintain quality.
• Start up and shut down thermoformers unassisted.
• Perform adjustments as needed and monitor gauges for heat readings.
• Check oilers on trim press and thermoformers at start of shift and replenish as needed.
• Perform roll changes with minimal scrap.
• Readouts from micro phaser and ballerina control panels to obtain readings and adjustments.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure debris-free work areas.
• Ensure proper packaging and stock packaging materials for production runs.
• Participate in safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
