Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Thermoforming Operator to operate six Thermoformers, monitor heating/cooling, and document production logs. You will start up/shut down equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain packaging and housekeeping standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Charlotte, NC.

Candidates should be able to learn quickly, report issues, and apply troubleshooting techniques while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Learn and operate all six Thermoformers within specifications.
• Complete required documentation, including first piece inspection and production log.
• Identify and report quality issues and machine malfunctions.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate all six Thermoformers unassisted and within defined specifications.
• Recognize and report heating/cooling problems on machines promptly.
• Start up and shut down Thermoformers without assistance.
• Make adjustments to machines as needed without help.
• Check oilers and perform roll changes with minimal scrap.
• Read gauges and record heat readings for each machine.
• Perform quality checks (burning, cold cracking, registration) per roll.
• Understand and complete required paperwork (first piece inspection, production log).
