Job summary

genpak seeks a Thermoforming Operator to run all six thermoformers, troubleshoot basic issues, and ensure products meet specifications. You will perform start-up/shutdown, read gauges, document first piece and production logs, and maintain packaging readiness.

This role requires attention to safety, housekeeping, and ability to communicate quality concerns to supervisors. Forklift and lockout/tagout certification are preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must learn to operate all six thermoformers within defined specs.
• Capable of recognizing heating/cooling problems and reporting them.
• May start up and shut down thermoformers independently.
• Accurately complete required paperwork like first piece inspection and production logs.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate all six thermoformers without assistance.
• Identify and report machine heating/cooling issues immediately.
• Start up and shut down thermoformers unassisted.
• Perform adjustments as needed after evaluation.
• Read gauges and record heat readings for each machine.
• Conduct quality checks on each production roll.
• Prepare and stock packaging materials for production runs.
• Maintain clean, debris-free work areas.
