Job summary

The Thermodynamic HVAC Engineer role at Vertiv Group Corporation is part of the Thermal Management team within the Engineering and R&D Department, preferably based in Columbus OH (Westerville, OH). The position reports to an Engineering Manager, focusing on global products for the Chilled Water Systems line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 3-5 years of HVAC or data center cooling project experience.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration concepts.
• English proficiency intermediate (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new R&D products for data center cooling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across global programs.
• Design and re-engineer products with customer needs in mind.
• Approve CAD drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• Ensure cost, quality, environment and schedule targets.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on assigned products.
