Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Thermodynamic HVAC Engineer to join the Thermal Management team in Columbus, OH. You will help develop global data center cooling products and work with cross-functional teams to match customer needs and market demands.

You will lead design and re-engineering efforts, review CAD drawings and BOMs, and ensure targets for cost, quality, environment and delivery are met while solving technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Strong thermodynamics and refrigeration knowledge.
• Intermediate English (written and spoken).
• Motivation with leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop new R&D data center cooling products for global customers.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering.
• Lead design or re-engineer products with customer needs in mind.
• Review CAD drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• Meet targets for cost, quality, environment and time.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems related to owned products.
