Job summary

The Thermodynamic HVAC Engineer at Vertiv is part of the Thermal Management team within the Engineering and R&D Department, preferably based in Columbus OH (Westerville, OH). The role reports to an Engineering Manager and supports global products for chilled water systems.

Responsibilities include leading new R&D product development, coordinating with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, reviewing CAD drawings and BOMs, and ensuring cost, quality, and schedule objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC or liquid chillers design preferred.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles; intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of new R&D products in data center cooling.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design with Marketing, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering.
• Review CAD drawings, specifications, and BOMs; ensure cost, quality, and timing targets.
• Resolve technical problems and address customer needs in product development.
