Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Thermodynamic HVAC Engineer for the Thermal Management team, based in Columbus OH (Westerville, OH). You will advance global chilled water product lines, leading cross-functional teams to design, test and optimize cutting-edge cooling solutions.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3–5 years of HVAC experience, strong thermodynamics knowledge, and English proficiency. Travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant HVAC project experience preferred, especially liquid chillers.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of new R&D data center cooling products for global clients.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performance, cost-effective designs.
• Lead design and re-engineering efforts, coordinating with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering.
• Approve and review CAD drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• Meet cost, quality, environment and schedule objectives while balancing market and internal needs.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems for assigned products.
