Job summary

Metallus invites qualified students to join the Thermal Treat Operations Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in Canton, OH. You will support production, help drive continuous improvement, and gain hands-on experience working with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.

The program offers real-world projects, workshops, and networking with leaders, with opportunities to learn about OEE, process monitoring, and productivity improvements while balancing coursework.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by end of Spring 2027 semester.

Responsibilities

• Support production and continuous improvement initiatives within the Thermal Treat department.
• Focus on monitoring process performance, tracking production delays, analyzing productivity, and improving OEE.
• Work with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to identify efficiency opportunities.

Education
