Job summary

Bodycote in Hebron, Kentucky seeks a Utility Operator to perform essential tasks in thermal spray processes under supervision. You will assist in masking, grit blasting, post-processing, and quality checks to meet customer specs.

The role requires handling tools, working in an industrial environment, and complying with EHS policies. Cross-training in multiple production areas is expected.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: hand tools and production environment preferred.
• Skills: documented organization and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute steps of the thermal spray process including masking, grit blasting, deburring, and grinding with hand tools.
• Review work orders to verify areas for processing and post-processing.
• Inspect parts visually and follow in-process inspection procedures.
• Operate tools to perform requested processing per instructions and folders.
• Document and sign off on data defined in the job folder.
• Report issues to Lead or Supervisor and assist in process improvements.
• Follow EHS policies: keep area clean, wear PPE, dispose waste safely.
• Protect customer inventory from loss or damage and act professionally.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the position.
