Job summary

Invenergy, based in Chicago, IL, seeks a Project Manager, Thermal Project Management, to guide a multi-disciplinary team through development to COD of a gas-turbine/engine-based thermal facility. You will coordinate construction, commissioning, and technical, economic, and commercial aspects across teams in a fast-paced energy projects environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years of large-scale project management experience on combustion power plants, and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or structural engineering.
5+ years of project management and construction experience on large-scale projects.
Experience with combustion power plants, gas turbines, steam turbines or engines.
Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Coordinate efforts in the project lifecycle from development to COD to meet scope, budget and schedule.
Manage workload and resources across teams on a thermal project.
Oversee administrative tasks: POs, MSAs, EPCs, service orders.
Monitor interfaces between contractors and work packages and track performance.
Report risks, progress and schedule to management.
Collaborate with procurement and engineering for design and CAPEX/OPEX optimization.
