Job summary

Cordia in Pittsburgh is seeking an O&M Technician II - Thermal to ensure safe, reliable operation of all plant equipment at the North Shore Plant. You will monitor, control, and steadily optimize boilers, chillers, steam and gas turbine-generators under direction of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager.

Responsibilities include taking readings, maintaining logbooks, performing scheduled/unscheduled tasks, and responding to alarms while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience operating water-tube steam boilers (100 psig or greater).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control operation of plant machinery and equipment.
• Take readings and maintain logbooks; prepare reports.
• Respond to unusual conditions and alarms.
• Operate boilers, chillers, turbines and pumps safely.
• Maintain plant housekeeping and safety compliance.
