Job summary

Cordia is seeking an O&M Tech to operate and monitor plant machinery per procedures, under direction of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager.

The role includes taking readings, maintaining logs, responding to alarms, and performing scheduled and unscheduled tasks while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. A high school diploma and boiler experience are required; benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement match, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn complex systems and react to emergencies using judgment.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiency.
• Knowledgeable with boiler digital and pneumatic controls.
• Ability to work in hot/cold locations, climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, and stand for long periods.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the operation of all plant machinery and equipment
• Monitor and be responsible for the effect on plant operations of activities in the plant and distribution system
• Take readings, maintain logbooks, create reports for production records
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled job assignments
• Respond to alarms and utility issues
• Operate boilers, chillers, turbines, pumps, and valves safely and efficiently
• Monitor plant operating parameters and customer consumption levels
• Perform tests of operating equipment
• Be responsible for facility appearance and housekeeping
• Upgrade skills and knowledge of plant systems as required
• Learn and comply with Safety and Environmental policies
