Job summary

NRG’s Ironwood Generating Station in Lebanon, PA seeks an Operations and Maintenance Technician to perform safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a 2x1 combined cycle power plant with Siemens 501G turbines. The role covers start-up/shutdown, environmental compliance, and coordination with contractors on a rotating 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years power plant operations experience
• Dependable, self-motivated with ability to work with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills including 3-Way communications and phonetic alphabet
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and abilities
• Experience operating mobile equipment (high lift, forklift) and industrial equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform facility start-up and shutdown per procedures.
• Maintain environmental compliance (Air and Water).
• Enter and complete work orders and PMs using CMMS.
• Coordinate operations and maintenance activities daily; interface with contractors and vendors
