Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking an Advanced Analysis & Integration Engineer to join the Advanced T/H Analysis and Integration team. You will model and analyze thermal hydraulic systems for advanced reactor designs and interface with cross-functional teams.

About The Role

As a Advanced Analysis & Integration Engineer you will work within the Advanced T/H Analysis and Integration team and interfacing with the greater APX organization, to perform modeling and safety analysis activities for advanced reactor designs.

You will report to the Safety Analysis Manager and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for assigned work performed in the safety analysis of advanced reactor safety analysis consistent with regulatory requirements
  • Perform modeling and analysis of thermal hydraulic systems including CFD and other standard and non-standard T/H codes. Develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
  • Work as a cross functional team (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, and materials) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the advanced reactor designs
  • Work and communicate with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Nuclear or Mechanical) or recognized equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge in thermal hydraulics and applied fluid transport
Beneficial
  • Knowledge of heat and mass transfer and numerical thermal analysis.
  • Model or simulation experience with thermal hydraulic codes and in particular codes like ANSYS CFD including FLUENT.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
