Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources division to lead multi‑discipline teams on thermal generation projects. The role includes Owner’s Engineer or Detailed Engineering services, with duties in client service, risk management, and business development across North America.

Required are a PE preferred or strong engineering degree, 15+ years in power generation projects, and exceptional leadership and communication skills. Office work with travel possible.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering is required with strong power generation background.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on Owner’s Engineer or detailed design projects.
• Experience in business development and seller‑doer roles preferred.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to the team.
• Lead energy projects and programs across North America.
• Contribute to PM methodologies and best practices.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
• Lead or support proposals and business development efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and drive resource utilization targets.
