RTX seeks an early career Thermal Engineer to join the MA&T Department in Tucson. You will perform thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design trade studies through qualification testing and production support, using hand calculations and finite element tools.

Responsibilities include planning tests, reducing data, correlating models, and presenting results to government customers. The role requires collaboration, independent work, and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in thermal analysis with FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA or ANSYS or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; US citizenship required.

• Perform hand calculations to define the scope of higher detail analysis models.
• Conduct detailed thermal analyses for program thermal challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to customer requirements.
• Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
