Job summary

Select Medical is hiring a Rehab Aide in Florissant, MO. This full-time role requires willingness to float to 10 Day Institutes and supports therapists with patient care, transfers, and equipment setup.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with pay starting at $18/hour, commensurate with experience. The position supports outpatient rehabilitation operations, emphasizes safety, and provides essential patient assistance during therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Prior experience in outpatient PT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with rehabilitation procedures and patient positioning.
• Help transfer patients to/from mats, chairs, and wheelchairs.
• Prepare and position patients for therapy sessions and equipment use.
• Transport patients to therapy sessions as needed and maintain a clean, organized dept.

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30PCompensation:$18/Hour- Increases based on experience.

Responsibilities

Rehab Aide performs patient-related tasks assigned by therapist, including but not limited to:

• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department.
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
• Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
• Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
• Assists therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and provides equipment.
• Assist with patient-related activities, including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice Act.
• Maintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current State Driver’s License in good standing required
• Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• • CPR certification

  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center
