Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital in Panama City, FL, is seeking a Therapist/Social Worker for a Per Diem/PRN role. Flexible day shifts from 8am to 5pm, with opportunities for new graduates or licensure candidates to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other Human Service field.
• Ability to work a PRN schedule to include weekday and weekend day shifts.
• Successful completion of Level II background screening.
• PRN position with flexible day shifts (8am–5pm) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessment appropriate to patient type and reason for referral.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapies within required time frames and establish therapeutic relationships.
• Prepare quality documentation for assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
• Contribute to safe, interdisciplinary patient care through teamwork and communication.

Therapist/Social Worker - Per Diem/PRN Opportunity

This Per Diem/PRN opportunity offers flexible day shift scheduling to include weekday and weekend shifts from 8am to 5pm. New graduates and candidates working towards licensure are encouraged to apply.

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our four outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression.

The Therapist / Social Worker provides for the delivery and documentation of age/population, psychotherapy and social services to an assigned inpatient population. Assists family members and referral sources with continuum of care from the admission process through discharge planning.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complete psychosocial assessment appropriate to patient type and reason for referral.
• Provides clinically sound individual, family, and group therapies within required time frames and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Provide quality documentation for psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, therapies, reports to military command, discharge planning, staffing, Baker Act hearings and medical records within required time frames.
• Promotes safe and therapeutic interdisciplinary patient care through consultation and supervision, effective communication, interactions with and training of direct care staff as needed, and milieu interventions.
