Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position Summary

The Therapist is responsible for providing support to the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient and/or Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs including, but not limited to: administrative functions, utilization review, assessment, discharge planning, group/individual therapy, case management, and other duties related to delivering a successful program.

  • Provide group therapy or co-lead groups
  • Provide individual/family therapy sessions and crisis intervention
  • Provides case management services to patients in Inpatient &/or PHP/IOP

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
  • Must possess a TX State licensure: LPC, LPC-I, LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT or LCSW required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered. Will be required to work flexible hours.
  • CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
  • Must be available to attend the full hospital orientation: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM
