Job summary

Cypress Creek Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a therapist to join its multidisciplinary team at the north Houston facility. The role focuses on psychosocial assessments and various therapy modalities in an acute psychiatric setting, aligned with UHS mission and regulatory standards.

Hours may include day, evening, and weekend shifts; a Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology and Texas licensure are required, with inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Current licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW in Texas.
• One year of clinical inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Complete Psychosocial Assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual, group and family therapy sessions with established timeframes either face to face or telephonically with all patients, family, and significant others.
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention, creating behavioral plans, case conferences, client centered interventions and discharge planning.
• Conducts assigned therapeutic groups. Provides comprehensive education, instructions, advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant other to identify and secure needed health care follow-up services.

Position Summary

Therapists are key members of Cypress Creek Hospital’s multidisciplinary team ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Clinical Services or CEO/Managing Director.

Therapist Job Requirements
