Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support receiving, scheduling and referrals for inquiries, coordinating assessments, and initiating intake paperwork and insurance information.

Working with Admissions Clerk/Receptionist, you will help ensure a smooth transition into the admission process and coordinate with counselors, coordinators and the director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related psychiatric healthcare experience preferred.
• Current CPR, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training (can be obtained on-site upon employment).
• Current TX Driver's License.
• Schedule: PRN; must be available for hospital orientation Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and processes patient assessment. Handles Inquiry calls immediately.
• Ensures intake form contains all required information; facilitates referrals to outpatient services.
• Maintains communication with AHP, physician’s offices and referral sources.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring inquiry calls; assists the Counselors, Coordinators and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork and insurance information; working with Admissions Clerk/Receptionist to ensure smooth transition into the admission process.
