Position Summary

• Responsible for developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
• Is a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
• Responsible for assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meets the needs of patients and their families.
• Working collaboratively as a treatment team member.
• Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director.
• Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A).
• Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field.
• Licensure / Certification: Current State Licensure. Current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date. Is deemed a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).
• Experience: Required: At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
