Job summary

BrightView Health in Akron, OH is seeking a Therapist I to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals pursuing recovery from substance use disorders. You will conduct group therapy, perform intake assessments, and support individualized counseling within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include treatment planning, coordinating with the onsite multidisciplinary team, documenting in the EHR, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required per state regulations.
• Active clinical licensure appropriate to state requirements.
• 1+ year experience as Counselor I or similar role.
• Preferred: 2+ years in related field.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 is desirable.
• Harm reduction experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and intake assessments per clinic needs.
• Individual counseling as appropriate and coordinate care with team.
• Document treatment data in the electronic health record.
• Attend required on-site meetings and supervision sessions.
• Support training and mentorship for new counselors.
