Job summary

Montello-Care-Center is seeking a licensed Therapy Assistant (PTA/OTA) to provide patient and resident care under the direct supervision of the Therapy Director. The role emphasizes safety, timely delivery of care, and clear communication with patients, families, and the health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved OTA education program.
• Must be licensed in the state, if applicable.
• Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• CPR certification preferred.

Status: Full-Time | Part-Time

Job Summary

The PTA or OTA will provide patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the Therapy Director. The Therapist Assistant at Montello Care Center completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care. Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• A graduate of an approved education course for occupational therapy assistants.
• Licensed, if applicable, in the state in which they will be practicing.
• Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal program.
• Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and communication within department and facility and company.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline.
• Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC setting.
• Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
• Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

Must be in good standing on the State registry or appropriate entity

Ability to meet physical and job-related requirements

Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

Previous hospital or long-term care or skilled nursing experience

CPR Certified
