Job summary

Montello Care Center in Montello, WI is seeking a Therapy PTA or OTA to provide patient/resident care under the supervision of the Therapy Director. The Therapist Assistant completes tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe care with interactions among patients, residents, families, and health team members.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved PTA or OTA program.
• Licensed, if applicable, in the state where practicing.
• Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal programs.
• Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and communication within department, facility and company.
• Thorough knowledge of principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of the discipline.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary practice scopes in outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC settings.
• Knowledge of payer source documentation and payment requirements.
• Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome-driven solutions.

Position – Therapy PTA or OTA

Location: Montello Care Center – Montello, WI (on-site position)

Status: Full-Time | Part-Time

Schedule: Days | PMs | Weekends – Flexible scheduling

Job Summary

The PTA or OTA will provide patient/resident care as required under the direct supervision of the Therapy Director. The Therapist Assistant at Montello Care Center completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care. Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• A graduate of an approved education course for occupational therapy assistants.
• Licensed, if applicable, in the state in which they will be practicing.

• Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC setting.
• Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
• Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.
• Prior EMR/computer experience

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be in good standing on the State registry or appropriate entity
• Ability to meet physical and job-related requirements
• Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous hospital or long-term care or skilled nursing experience
• CPR Certified
