The NSA Teacher delivers individualized academic instruction, implements evidence-based behavioral and social-emotional interventions, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to promote

Qualifications

• PEL with LBS I endorsement and IL license.
• Experience with students with emotional/behavioral needs.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support in crisis.
• Experience supervising paraprofessionals (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum aligned to IEP goals.
• Provide instruction appropriate to assigned grade level.
• Integrate functional, community-based learning experiences into instruction.
• Conduct informal and formal assessments to monitor progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences.
• Supervise and coach teaching assistants.
• Maintain accurate documentation and IEP-related reports.
• Collaborate with related service providers and administrators.
• Deliver trauma-informed, strength-based supports.
