Job summary

Aware Inc. is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Service Technician in Butte, MT. The role focuses on delivering engaging, person-centered recreation services to diverse clients and supporting their growth and wellbeing.

You will travel to client sites, plan activities, and document outcomes in the EHR, contributing to program evaluation. A valid Montana driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
• Must have an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in assigned location/region.
• Travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to client or service area.
• Lead and instruct participants in gaining life skills.
• Plan and lead recreational activities.
• Implement interventions sensitive to client age, culture, and abilities.
• Model engagement to promote positive lifestyle skills.
• Assist in creating intervention protocols with short-term goals.
• Observe client response and communicate with TRPD and treatment team.
• Provide client information for transition or discharge planning.
