Aware Inc. is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our compassionate team. The role offers a starting salary of $55,000 to $65,000 per year and supports adults, children, and families in becoming active community participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation meeting NCTRC standards.
• NCTRC approved internship completed.
• CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or ability to obtain CTRS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work remotely in assigned location / region.
• Travel to designated cities / regions to meet with clients and provide services.
• Perform assessment and observational duties.
• Plan and implement TR interventions to help clients increase independence in lifestyle.
• Research and apply evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Design TR protocols, session plans and processes.
• Implement interventions sensitive to client age, culture, development, limitations, skill level.
• Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality.

Recreation Therapist - $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year to start.

AWARE is looking for the right person to join the team as a recreation therapist.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work remotely in assigned location / region;
• Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities / regions to meet with clients and provide services;
• Experience in assessment and observational skills;
• Experience planning and implementing TR interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle;
• Experience researching and applying evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation;
• Design TR protocols, session plans and processes;
• Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level;
• Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality
