Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden, CT, seeks a part-time Recreation Assistant to support the development and execution of therapeutic recreational services for residents. The role requires assisting in planning activities, supervising programs, and ensuring compliance with the Residents’ Bill of Rights.

Weekend coverage and a valid driver’s license are required. Applicants with experience in rehabilitative or geriatric settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to provide rotating weekend coverage of recreation activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of therapeutic recreational services for all residents.
• Supervise and participate in a full range of recreational activities with sensitivity to residents’ physical and emotional needs.
• Ensure observance of the Residents’ Bill of Rights and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Encourage resident participation and coordinate with the Therapeutic Recreation Director.
